Who I am

I’m Kristin, a mental health counselor based in Florida. I work with individuals and couples navigating chronic pain and illness, relationship challenges, and the unexpected turns life can take.

My approach is direct, collaborative, and grounded in real life. Therapy should meet you where you are—not where you think you “should” be. Together, we focus on understanding your experiences, building practical skills, and creating a path forward that actually fits your life.

I bring both clinical training and lived experience into my work, particularly around chronic health conditions and accessibility. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to explain or minimize your experience to be understood.

What it’s like to work with me?

In our work together, you can expect a space that is collaborative, grounded, and responsive to your actual life—not a one-size-fits-all approach. I tend to be direct when it’s helpful, while also making room for nuance, complexity, and the reality of what you’re dealing with.

Two women talking in a living room, one with pink and white hair, wearing a checkered top, and the other with blonde hair, gesturing with hands.

I hold a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning, with a focus on marginalized communities, and have worked within both public sector systems and education. Those experiences continue to shape how I approach therapy—I don’t assume that distress exists in a vacuum, and I don’t approach clients without considering the broader context they’re navigating.

I often work with individuals who are used to being competent, dependable, and high-functioning, particularly in public sector, education, or other high-demand roles. Many are carrying significant responsibility while quietly managing stress, burnout, or chronic health concerns.

I understand what it takes to keep things running—and what it can cost to do it.
